Space for Solitude: The Carrizo Plain

$65.00

The Carrizo Plain National Monument is 385 square miles of California, north of Ojai and east of San Luis Obispo, comprising most of state’s largest remaining native grassland and the Temblor and Caliente mountain ranges that border it. Artist Jim Stoicheff found it an ideal space for experiencing solitude. Space for Solitude: The Carrizo Plain represents 18 months of photographing the monument at different times of day, during different seasons, and from different locations. The result is 50 photographs showing the terrain and the plant and animal life that fill it.
